The Galaxy A21s has received the Android 12 update after the Galaxy A02s and Galaxy A03s received the Android 12 update. Currently, the update is only available in Russia, but it may soon be available in other countries as well.

The Galaxy A21s has been updated to Android 12 with firmware version A217FXXU8DVF6. Over 60 privacy and security vulnerabilities have also been fixed in the June 2022 security patch. Color Palette features, better Dark Mode, new widgets, better widget designs, a new widget picker UI, and thicker sliders for brightness and volume are all part of the new update.

There has been a facelift to the Device Care section. As well as improving the search experience, Samsung has also improved the user interface. By enabling or disabling camera and microphone usage across the system, privacy indicators and quick settings have improved privacy and security.
