Galaxy S25 Ultra

So finally, Samsung promises that the Galaxy S25 will get top-of-the-line camera and display upgrades. Fingers crossed that these upgrades are more than just incremental.

Design and Durability

We expect the Galaxy S25 Ultra to support a tough titanium build and Corning’s glare-free glass for better durability. Design-wise, it may receive a rounded corner design. It will probably have an integrated S Pen and IP68 water and dust resistance.

Display

The display might stick to 6.8 inches and will almost certainly keep rocking a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel with its super smooth 1 to 120 Hz refresh rate.

Performance

In terms of performance, it is almost a given that we will find Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset under the hood. Samsung Electronics has also officially confirmed the development of the Exynos 2500 mobile processor. The Exynos 2500 is expected to power the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus models in most markets. However, reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in certain regions.

Camera Upgrades

Moreover, the most recent leak suggests that the Galaxy S25 Ultra model, in particular, would get a 50 MP 3x camera sensor, which would be a major upgrade in theory from the Galaxy S24 Ultra’s 10 MP 3x sensor. We hope the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25 Plus also see significant hardware upgrades, especially in light of the vanilla models using the same camera hardware since 2022.

Battery Life

When it comes to the battery, we are hoping for better battery life with the Galaxy S25 Ultra model. However, we are not expecting a much larger battery because of the space constraints of the smartphone body. Faster wired charging would be great, but we will likely see the return of 45W fast battery charging support.

Price Expectations

We expect the Galaxy S25 Ultra to cost as much as the current model does. We can expect the Galaxy S25 Ultra to start at $1,350 USD for the 256 GB version and go up to $1,700 USD for the 1 TB option. As we’ve seen in the past, it’s sort of a tradition for Samsung to maintain similar pricing for their flagship models. Samsung to reveal its Flagship series at the start of the year the Galaxy S25 Ultra should be unveiled in January or February 2025
