Samsung One UI 7.0

We have more live leaks of the One UI 7.0 on our hands. From the new control center look to the icons and also, for the first time, Samsung’s version of Dynamic Island in action, we’re going to take a look at everything. One UI 7.0 is shaping up to be a pretty insane update, not just by the looks of it, but also by what goes under the hood.

Not only are we going to see the smoothest, most optimized animation system on One UI 7.0, but also the update that will unlock the true camera performance of the Galaxy S24 series. There’s a reason why Samsung is bringing this huge new camera UI update. According to Ice Universe, finally, we’re now going to have the same level of quality, colors, and HDR performance in the 50-megapixel 1x and 50-megapixel 5x modes as we would see in the 12-megapixel mode, basically achieving the same result but with higher clarity of more megapixels. This perfectly explains why Samsung has shifted all those high-megapixel options now to the bottom so you can easily change to high-megapixel mode and use this more often than before. This is the perfect camera upgrade we needed right around the time of the iPhone 16’s release.

Now moving on to some more UI leaks, we have our first look at the new notification panel, or you could say it looks more like a control center. It’s like a combination of the iOS control center and Samsung’s quick setting toggles. You can see the new thicker toggles for brightness and sound controls. We also got our first look at the dynamic island/live activities implementation from Samsung, and you can see we have the active notification going on in the top left area, for example, a stopwatch in this example. As soon as you touch it, you can have this expanded version with some added controls.

Now looking at this, you don’t have to be a genius to realize that this is a very similar implementation to Apple, and as we know, Apple has crazy animations with their dynamic island, so hopefully, Samsung can match that. But from the looks of it, it doesn’t look quite that way. Again, we’ll see when the actual update is out, but pretty much Samsung has implemented their version of Dynamic Island that works kind of similarly to Apple’s way. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

The more One UI 7.0 icons are here. You can see, in addition to that new gallery icon as well as the settings, and the camera, we now have the weather, internet, phone, clock, and contacts logos. Not gonna lie, Samsung could have done a better job with that internet logo.

So pretty much this is the whole compilation of the leaks regarding One UI 7.0. All we would see on the beta one that is set to release, apparently by Monday if everything goes right, which is really good news.
