Samsung is starting to update Good Lock apps with One UI 7 support. The app, which is available more widely via the Galaxy Store, is getting a new update to version 7.0.00.0. The changelog Good Lock Apps doesn't mention it, but this new app version (via APKMirror) targets Android 15 (API 35).
Good Lock version 7.0.00.0 is ready for the upcoming One UI 7 update, and we're seeing many more Good Lock modules and stand-alone Good Lock apps will follow suit and start getting support for the next big One UI release which is coming in 2025.
The changelog mentions “some minor improvements” and a bug fix in Sound History for the latest Nice Catch version. Samsung confirmed it will release the public One UI 7.0 firmware in early 2025. Samsung One UI Version 7.0 is expected to be the biggest overhaul of One UI in history, and Samsung is taking a bit longer to make sure everything works smoothly.
The release of One UI 7.0 will mark the complete democratization of Good Lock, which remains to be seen. Good Lock remains geo-locked and isn't available everywhere as we know. However, Samsung mentioned Good Lock and One UI 7 in the same breath at SDC24 gives us hope that the company might have finally seen the light and will lift the annoying Good Lock restrictions soon.
Good Lock might soon become a more integral part of the One UI experience in Samsung One UI History. At SDC24, around the time Samsung was talking about One UI 7 on stage, the company brought up Good Lock and said it offers “Ultimate freedom of personalization.
